time recorder used for recording checking in time on paper roll
- Description:
- The National Time Recorder Co. Ltd. was formed in 1908 and was based in the Blackfriars area of London. The company expanded between the First and Second World Wars and as a response to high demands for time recorders such as the one shown here, it moved in 1949 to St. Mary Cray, Bromley, occupying the site of the former Blue Lagoon swimming pool. But in 1972 the factory closed after a fall in demand for the time recorders with the loss of 40 jobs.
