Child's Chair and Table - chair, table

Description:
Ken Baker of South Norwood designed this child's chair and table in the early 1970s. They are part of a range of play furniture called Kid's Kits. Made from plywood, the furniture was sold in flat packs by mail order. Once assembled, it could be painted or varnished. The chair becomes a child's table or an adult's stool by turning it through 90 degrees. Kid's Kits were intended to be basic, versatile and fun.
