Receipt from St George's Jewish Settlement for the sum of 5 received from undergraduates at Oxford University - receipt

Description:
This receipt acknowledges a donation of 5 to the St George's Jewish Settlement. In 1921 this was a substantial sum of money, equivalent to almost 150 today. This shows the loyalty of old members of the Club, whose continued support was a key part of its success. The Oxford & St George's Club derived its name in part from Oxford University, where Basil Henriques studied.
