Queen Mary at Tottenham Salvage Works, Down Lane

Description:
Queen Mary, flanked on her right by the Mayor of Tottenham, Alderman A.J. Lynch and Mrs Lynch and on her left by Cleansing Chief Gurney and Lord Robert Morrison, Labour M.P. for Tottenham. Behind and visible between these two are Mrs Morrison and local councillor Field. The tour is passing some casts of Tottenham Pudding, the pig food processed from recycled household scraps. The barely tolerable stench of the pig food must have been particularly ripe on this hot day in August.
