London Transport At London's Service - poster
- Description:
- Harold F Hutchison was appointed publicity officer of London Transport in 1947. This poster, designed by Misha Black and John Barker, epitomises his innovative approach to publicity after the Second World War. Hutchison described London Transport publicity as 'the most complete visual presentation of all its services and amenities'. This poster was designed in two halves. This half carried the text, another half presented an image. This design format provided Hutchison with enough space to present data to the public without restricting the designer's artistic freedom.
