Greenwich - Cutty Sark - poster

London Transport published this poster in 1973. It was designed by John Finnie to stimulate leisure travel to Greenwich. John Finnie's image of the tea clipper, the Cutty Sark reminds Londoners that their City was once a great seafaring centre. The text below promotes the magnificent architecture of Saint Alfege's Church, designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor; Queen's House by Inigo Jones; and Sir Christopher Wren's Royal Naval College and Royal Observatory.
