Metro-Land - guide book

This book, 'Metro-Land', is one of a series published by the Metropolitan Railway (Met) over a period of 17 years (1915–1932). It describes the places served by the Met and includes photos and colour illustrations, a map of London extending to the districts covered by the Met and sections on 'Country Homes in Metro-Land' and 'The Story of the Chilterns'. The front cover features an illustration of a mock Tudor house set within a country garden. 'Metro-Land' is the term coined by the Met to refer to the new suburbs that grew in northwest London as a direct result of the developing railway line.
