Metro-Land - guide book

This book, 'Metro-Land', is one of a series of books published by the Metropolitan Railway (Met) over a period of 17 years (1915–1932). It describes the places served by the Met, and includes photos and colour illustrations, notes on local facilities and accommodation, a section on 'Homes in Metro-Land' and adverts for businesses and services in the area. The front cover has an illustration of an old-fashioned cottage set within an idyllic country garden. 'Metro-Land' is the term coined by the Met to refer to the new suburbs that grew in northwest London as a direct result of the developing railway.
