Great Northern, Piccadilly and Brompton Electric Railway. London's Latest Tube - pamphlet

This pamphlet promotes the Great Northern, Piccadilly and Brompton Railway, which opened on 15 December, 1906. It claims it is the 'quickest route between north and west, through theatre and shopping areas', and lists all the stations on the line though some were not completed until 1907. An illustration shows an interior view of an Underground car. This was the second of the electric railways to be operated by the Underground Electric Railways Company of London (U.E.R.L.), and was commonly known as a Yerkes Tube, after the founder of the U.E.R.L, Charles Tyson Yerkes.
