Map of London and the Votes for Women Processions, June 21, 1908. - notice
- This map shows the route of seven processions planned for Women's Sunday on 21 June 1908, the first 'set-piece' demonstration organised by the Women's Social and Political Union. It was advertised in 'Votes for Women' as a 'monster meeting' and special trains were chartered to bring in thousands of suffragettes from all over Britain. The event consisted of seven processions through London, culminating in a rally in Hyde Park. Here the suffragettes heard speeches by over 80 leading members of the union.
