handle; walking cane handle

Description:
The silver-mounter William Charles Freeth used these hand tools to produce handmade silver mounts for walking canes, dressing cases and bottles. Freeth established his workshop in Hoxton in 1880 and worked there until his death in 1919. These examples of Freeth's work were donated to the Museum, along with a number of silver-mounters' hand tools, by Freeth's great granddaughter.
