Dockers campaign in an east London park - photograph
- Several dockers were prosecuted in 1951 under Anti-strike Order 1301, charged with conspiring to spread a strike. Fellow dockers united in an east London park to support both them and a campaign to abolish the 'call-on' system of casual labour in the docks. Henry Grant took several photographs documenting the strike, including this group portrait. A photograph of dockers clutching union cards was published in the Daily Worker newspaper where Grant's wife, Rose, worked as a journalist.
