J. Andrew & Sons Saddlemakers business card

Description:
With the invention and increased popularity of automobiles, horses became less important, and the saddle making business suffered. J. Andrew & Sons was a saddle and harness maker on Hampstead High Street, established in 1765. This business card advertising their products shows that they have branched out considerably from their core function. Items with broader appeal include dog collars, purses and leggings. The shop could not survive the complete change to motorized transport though, and shut in the late 1940s.
