Hoover
- Description:
- This 1960s 'Hoover Constellation' was advertised as being able to "float on air", and due to its downward rotating fan it did indeed hover about an inch off the ground. This made it easier to drag the machine around but also adversely affected the hoover's suction power. The shape of the hoover is influenced by the new and exciting world of space travel that was being discovered at this period. The USSR sent the first 'Sputnik' satellite into space in 1957.
