Wall's Ice Cream Seller

This photograph shows a Wall's ice cream-seller on a tricycle during the 1930s. Thomas Wall and Son Ltd. was acquired by Lever Brothers (later Unilever) in 1922, and in the same year began to manufacture ice cream in Acton. Then, as now, ice cream was often sold by mobile sellers.
