braille writing frame
- Description:
- Braille writing frame used by Mrs Annie Bradley (who was blind) as part of her homeworking business making woollen socks. The frame is wooden with a clip at one end where the Braille paper was held whilst writing. Orders for socks would be punched into the card using a 'style' or 'dotter' to write the Braille. Mrs Bradley bought this frame in 1921 for 4 shillings and sixpence.
